Do you have any travel plans this summer?
This summer has been all about traveling to places that fuel my inspiration—Japan and Copenhagen. It was my second time in Japan, a place that always leaves me creatively recharged. I come back with fresh eyes, new references, and so much energy for expanding the Crown Affair universe. Copenhagen was a first, and I fell in love instantly. In both cities, design drives the culture—you feel it in every thoughtful detail, every small touchpoint. The back half of the summer I’ll be stateside, splitting time between New York and work travel to places like Boulder and Vegas. I’m also closing out the season with my fifth trip to Burning Man. I can’t wait to reconnect with our community out there.
What’s your approach to self-care while traveling?
I stick to simple, grounding rituals: A short stretch or foam-roll session every morning, a gua sha on the plane to boost circulation, and a nourishing body oil ritual right after showering. Even a few mindful minutes of brushing or moisturizing connects me to myself wherever I am. I prefer products that are a beautiful self-care ritual while also being efficient and highly effective.
Are you more of a packing minimalist or maximalist?
Generally, I’m a (relatively) minimalist when it comes to my core wardrobe—I love timeless pieces that mix and match effortlessly. But I’m always drawn to a fun, whimsical accessory or set to add a bit of personality. The rest of the time, I rely on great separates that can take me from day to night with ease. It’s all about balance: Clean lines with a playful twist.
As a founder, what’s one lesson you always come back to?
Take your time to put quality into the world—whether it’s a product, a social post, or any way you’re showing up and connecting. I really believe that things made with intention and care have no fear of time. When you lead with quality, you create something that lasts—something that inspires and brings joy. Keep your vision clear, your blinders up, and always come back to your why and who you’re building it for. That’s where the magic happens.
Is summer a time for you to slow down—or do it all?
Summer is a blend. I let in more slowness: With long walks, unplugged mornings, moments of pause—but I also keep the spark alive with travel, creative work, and connecting with friends. It’s about listening to my energy, not the calendar.
