The Art of the At-Home Facial
Step 1
Warm a quarter-sized amount of the Cleansing Balm in hands until emulsified. Massage in circles all over face, neck, and décolleté. Massage in a figure 8 around eyes for deep relaxation. Remove with a damp, warm washcloth.
Step 2
Place a quarter-sized amount of the Restorative Mask into hands and apply evenly all over face, neck, and décolleté. Let it sit for 15 minutes before removing with a damp, warm washcloth.
Step 3
Place three drops of the Ritual Oil in hands and inhale deeply before massaging face, neck, and décolleté in slow, circular motions. Finish with downward, light strokes on neck and gently pulse the lymph nodes above collarbones to assist lymphatic drainage.
Step 4
Warm a pea-sized amount of the Moisture Rich Balm in hands and press lightly into skin, using circular motions on areas that may need more hydration.
Step 5
Warm a fingertip-sized amount of the Hydra Eye Balm between fingertips to smooth and emulsify. Massage in long strokes on both eye brows from center outwards. Lightly massage into crow’s feet and make slow circles around orbital bone. Repeat all three times. To finish, use circular motions to apply as lip balm.

Heat oven to 425° F. Combine beets, oil and salt and toss to coat. Place beets in a baking dish with water and orange juice, and cover with aluminum oil. Roast 45 minutes-1 hour. Set aside until cool to the touch. Use a paper towel to gently remove the skin. Slice or dice.
To make the vinaigrette:
Combine lemon juice, blood orange juice, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and red chili flakes in a blender. With the blender running, pour the olive oil in a slow, steady stream until thoroughly mixed. Season to taste.
To assemble the salad:
Massage kale with the dressing, reserving some for the beets. Salt and pepper to taste. Add the blood oranges. Drizzle the remaining dressing on the cooked beets. Place the dressed kale and citrus into a serving dish and layer in beets, pistachios and feta. Finish with salt and pepper.
FAQ
The Oak Essentials Spa was an exclusive pop-up wellness experience hosted at the Jenni Kayne Beach Retreat, just steps away from the sand in Los Angeles. We offered curated skincare and beauty services from LA’s leading experts—from holistic facial treatments and acupuncture to farm-to-table dining—that brought the entire Oak Essentials world to life.
Unfortunately, The Oak Essentials Spa was invite-only for our brand partners. That being said, we of course want our entire community to enjoy a slice of the experience, which is why we’ve taken great care to ensure you can recreate every aspect in your own home.
