Inside Our Earth Day Celebration at Jenni's

Here at Oak Essentials, we know we're nothing without the earth we stand on. From the inspiration behind our collections to the ingredient standards we keep—all that we do is an ode to our planet. With that said, it should come as no surprise that Earth Day is easily our favorite holiday—and this year, our celebration went above and beyond. For all the details on a truly special day, read on.

The Ambience

Set in Jenni's idyllic backyard, the event was an earth-focused day of relaxation, complete with High-Tech Mini Facials by Formula Fig—featuring a few of our Oak Essentials favorites—and energizing beverages from Saint James Iced Tea.

Guests had the opportunity to sit back, enjoy some cleansing and balancing self care, connect with one another, and spend a beautiful day under the trees.

The Menu

When it came to the menu, we put our meal in the trusted hands of Organic Oren—a culinary service from the creative mind of Amanda Bergin—and their array of primarily plant-based dishes was nothing less than an homage to the earth's many bounties.

From caramelized Japanese yams and Harry's Berries parfaits to crispy miso salmon and a kale and peach salad, every bite was delectable to say the least—not to mention, prepared with the intention of boosting an inner-to-outer glow.

The Speaker

Of course, it wouldn't be an Earth Day celebration without meaningful reflection on our role in the care and keeping of our planet—which is why we were so thrilled to have Los Angeles' own sustainability content creator and climate activist Lauren Bash join us for an educational session.

She covered everything from practical everyday sustainability to the connection between indulgent self-care and planetary health.

The Movement

In an effort to get a bit grounded, everyone partook in an outdoor Pilates by Amanda class—also led by Amanda Bergin. Slow, intentional, and, at its core, fun—it was the perfect way to get more in touch with both ourselves and the earth.
