At Oak, we look forward to Earth Day every year. It’s a chance to return to our roots—reflecting on what it means to truly care for ourselves and the planet. This year, we celebrated in a sun-drenched backyard in Brentwood with a Pilates class by Amanda Kassar, a sound bath by Kelsey Cook, facials by our friends Julia Barna and Kayla Renner, a custom coffee cart by Cafecita, a chainstitch embroidery station by Caitlin Morris, a DIY floral bar inspired by Oak formulas, and a seasonal lunch by Organic Oren. Keep reading for an inside glimpse at the day, plus conversations with a few friends about clean beauty and their favorite ways to connect with nature.

Kayla Renner, @kaylarenner

Why is clean beauty important to you?

“A lot of people don’t realize that our skin is an organ. It’s part of our integumentary system—and what we absorb through our skin actually absorbs into our tissues, muscles, and lymphatic system. It becomes a part of us. So why not try to put ingredients that we know and can understand into our bodies so they can be their most healthy and vibrant?”

Emily Rose Klein, @emilyroseklein

If Mother Nature had a skincare routine, what do you think she’d use?

“Definitely Oak Essentials Balancing Mist—to keep the Earth grounded, hydrated, and in sync.”

Bridget Campbell, @bridgetcampbell_

If you could do your routine anywhere in nature, where would it be?

“I think on the beach with the sun shining and the ocean waves in the background. I always feel truly at peace when I’m near the water.”

Which treatment did you choose at the Oak Facial Bar, and how is your skin feeling now?

“I chose the Signature Spa Glow Facial, and my skin feels amazing. Really plump and hydrated.”

Natasha Garrett, @natashazoe

How are you feeling after the day? What are you taking away from it?

“I’m feeling so restored and rejuvenated. Especially after Pilates and the sound bath, ending class with the birds chirping and the wind blowing and the trees rustling. I’m just feeling really grounded in my body.”
